 <p>The Narrative Essence of Adoption\: Every myth\, bible story and fairy tale has a bit of an adoption theme\; many books and movies do as well!&nbsp\; This year’s ARC Summer Intensives will look at the aspects of adoption that build a story and will use narrative therapy\, digital stories\, and movies to discuss the many emotional and psychological elements that can make adoption a challenge and a joy for all involved.</p>

 July 30 to August 2\, 2008\, the North American Council on Adoptable<br />
 Children will hold its 33rd annual conference in Ottawa\, Ontario. The<br />
 conference is open to everyone interested in the welfare of children<br />
 and families\, including adoptive\, foster\, and birth parents\, kinship<br />
 care providers\, child welfare professionals\, and other child advocates.</p>
 <p class=\\"style14\\">Workshops and Institutes</p>
 <p class=\\"text\\">
 Workshop tracks will include recruiting permanent families\, adoption<br />
 support and preservation\, permanency options\, international adoption\,<br />
 parenting children with challenges\, advocacy and public policy\, and<br />
 more. For a sampling of sessions\, view the list of <a href=\\"http\://www.nacac.org/conference/sessions.html\\">workshops</a> offered at the 2007 NACAC conference in Tampa\, Florida. </p>
