An adoption.com blog written by two birth-first parents (Jan Baker and Jenna Hatfield). One hailing from the closed adoption era and one from the open adoption era, the two offer a unique, sometimes different and sometimes unified, perspective on things that pertain to first families, adoption reform and adoption in general.

A blog about the open relationship between myself and my daughter's family, a call to look at things without rose-tinted glasses and basically, how my life has been touched by adoption in many more ways than they told me it would be. Not a happy-go-lucky blog but not a doomsday blog either. Somewhere in the middle.
